=P Nah I'm not an ageist, I just think that young girls are vulnerable to manipulation by older guys (law makers agree with me). I'm not saying everyone is a bad guy. There's only a handful of bad guys out there but still we want to protect the young ones from them.

I mean teenagers these days grows up faster than back in my days before all the social media and youtube and stuff. They're not any more "incapable" of making decisions as of say someone who is 22 or older. People of any age group can be hurt and taken advantage of, it's irrelevant. Now obviously if the person is 14 then it's another story.. But by the time most people are 16, they're old enough to be able to comprehend and make decisions in life. In the past I've always avoided girls younger than 18, but I ended up offending and hurting the girls who are under 18 simply because of age. Then I remember how it was like when I was at that age and some of the "adults" wouldn't take me seriously or whatever. Well I learned to be more open minded since then in getting to know someone who may not yet be considered an adult legally. I don't think there's a problem with that, unless all you care about is sex, then maybe it'd be a problem with you since having sex with an under age girl is always dangerous and stupid. But I don't see anything wrong with trying to get to know someone who happens to be younger and form real friendship / relationship, the physical stuff can wait until shes ready and legal? If you love and care about her and isn't just after her body, then it shouldn't be much of an issue. But if you're some old pervert lusting after some younger girls, then yes it's a huge problem.

I don't think that girls can really think clearly at 16... and Youtube, internet in general, doesn't help them growing up faster... Internet makes them the way they are, they don't have their own personality and just copy what they see on tv and internet. They want to be grown up girls but still act like babies. I was in highschool till 19 and I felt a big gap between the 16 yo girls and I, they're not even old in their mind, they just try to convince others that they're women already. (And I know it works with men...). They don't have the chance to take their time to grow up anymore, just like girls who are more than 20 now did. 16 yo girls are babies inside... it's "dangerous" to try smthg with them. Of course there are exceptions, there always are.

I agree, 16 y o are no way mature enough to think clearly. I would say most of them think that they are more mature than they actually are

Just as me...even though I'm a girl. But I look quite young so there are always guys under 18 that seem to be interested in me...but...whaa....it is weird...even though I don't really care if the boy is younger than me, but he should be AT LEAST 18 years old...and most of them are too childish anyway....so 20+ would be an acceptable age.
