At the highest level? If that's the case then everyone can train for 2 years and be equally competitive. It takes about a decade to get really good at an art, to get very competitive strength, or build a top notch physique as bodybuilder (natural). Progression wise I don't see them being too vastly different.

What I disagree the most is that strength is the most easily preserved. I've taken 2 weeks off and dropped 20-30 lbs on lifts. My striking ability and reaction do not degrade that rapidly.

i love the fact you folks deleted my response to this one, also...

my passage was taken out of context and it was necessary to defend my position... in addition, there was no unruly bs in some of my other responses that were removed. thread should've been locked, or deleted entirely. but, it's clear now how this forum/moderators and its' friends(list) operate. i'm sure this thread would've remained unscathed, if i didn't "show up."

As OP, I merely requested that the arguments in the thread to be removed since it takes away from the purpose of the thread. Why should an entire useful thread be locked or removed just because people start arguing in it? You've posted very useful info here and I definitely appreciate your contributions about the conditioning.

Peer reviewed studies to back that up? Or is this something your boyfriend tells you?

please enlighten me; as, i fail to see the value (usefulness) here.

like i stated before... my deleted responses did not provoke nor insult anybody but merely expressed my position. if my exchanges were illogical and merit-less, why remove them? as they would further prove i am a blundering idiot... oh wait... i donated to a site to get bashed on by the powers that be. LoL~!

I thought that donation was a nice and friendly gesture to help others, maybe the definition changed and I didn't notice.

This thread has the propose to help everyone to have a knowledge about how take care of your own health. Everyone is free to say what you guys want BUT it would be nice if you keep the thread and whatever you guys wanna say to each other keep off the topic, which means pm each other.

So if you are not going to say anything productive I don't understand why waste your time and don't give others the chance to share opinions about healthy stuff.

If anything you always can pm me.

I agree with you, locked or deleted - at least respectfully communicated to you that your post is in review to be deleted and given a chance to edit. FYI I would've liked to have read your response whether right or wrong at least for perspective, less the peen swinging and trolling from the applicable.

option 1: get a house with smaller doors

option 2: get overall strong with bench, squat, deadlift, military press, and do tons of pullups, chinups

I still strongly recommend getting a house with smaller doors
