Is it just me, or are Vietnamese guys the least sought after out of all the asian cultures?

It's the exposure. I also think most would agree that the Vietnamese language itself is phonetically unpleasant. Though being a western born and raised Vietnamese guy, it hasn't been an issue (granted I'm of bigger build than most Asians in general).

In a way, it's advantageous for us viet dudes... We don't have the unrealistic expectation to look and be like K/J-pop stars which for the majority of Korean and Japanese guys aren't.

This is the original post. I love how everyone responds about whether Vietnamese men are attractive or not when OP was asking about overall generalities(obviously with interests of and attraction to Vietnamese men included) of Vietnam compare to Japan, South Korea and China. I'm sure even Chinese members here may feel their culture is marginalized from overall interests toward pop cultures of South Korea and Japan that we have in this site. Which also lead to often asked question, are women here only into pop culture of Asia, or are they interested in actual culture of Asia.

Or you can read the title of the thread. Regardless, there's no denying the exposure of pop culture opening the door and lubricating other aspects respectively and it's effect on the demographic of this site.

perhaps some videos and/or documentaries can be posted on the forum to give people more exposure to life in Vietnam.

Hope that isn't the case or it doesn't feel that way. I am Vietnamese and don't see that as a problem. When people are asked and answered back with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and you see no Vietnamese in it doesn't mean viets least sought after. Maybe some people follow the pop scene ( the race I've stated above all have better pop culture than Vietnam but they are getting better) and like certain one better and the reason why they pick those race. Media exposure plays a big role in it. If I were to be asked a question which cola soda I would like the best, most people would choose coca cola and pepsi but what about RC cola.

im vietnamese and this kind of stuff never crosses my mind. Its got nothing to do about race and if you believe that subconsciously it will reflect on your personality when you do meet your future girlfriend
