If I had to choose a subgenre of Metal that I like and listen to the most it would be Death Metal.
People who only listen to Black Metal and/or making it themselves are too much into creating an image in my opinion, also I know quite a few ones who are just really really weird (even though I like weird people normally) or hateful. Death Metaler are like that too sometimes but I like that most of them don't take themselves too seriously
We have an amazing variety in Germany when it comes to Metal bands, so nearly everyone is able to find a style they enjoy ^^

Have been to Wacken couple years ago. Going there this year again. Too bad Wacken's full of whiny little emo kids now, because of all these HC wannabe metal bands.

mayhem you should try Summerbreeze if you like bigger festivals, I went there a few times and it was really good compared to other festivals
But of course, there are those types of bands and kids as well xD But on a bearable level ^^

Wacken is way too big by now in my opinion, which makes it less fun sadly.

Kilkim Žaibu is an awesome black, pagan and folk metal festival in Lithuania. Really wanted to go there this year, but no money. :c
There was another awesome metal festival going on this year too, but I forgot how it's called, lol.

I just had to start something like this and see how many metalheads are here xD
Yeah most death metal fans I know are really cool. I like chill people that don't give any single fuck about what other people say hahahaha.
My favorite German band would be Kreator.. People are gonna hate me on this, but I like them even better than I like Metallica.

I've been to Hammersonic which is an international metal festival in Indonesia. I saw Cradle of Filth, Cannibal Corpse, As I Lay Dying, and many more. However, I'm currently living in the States and Mayhem Festival is coming this summer. But fucking hell, I'm not gonna be here on summer
