I love Varg.

I just watched him talking and he actually seems like a really intelligent guy for some reason. Looks like he has some Hitler features inside him though LOL.

Ah, trust, me - Varg is indeed intelligent. I could listen to him talk about Christianity for hours.
I've read somewhere, that Varg was/is a follower of Hitler's ideology, so no wonder about his Hitler features. :3

And his English is fantastic, I wasn't expecting him to speak that fluent. Yeah I actually read that somewhere too, no wonder then xD
Anyway, is he out of jail now?

Yeah, he is. Happily living with his wife and three children in a small town in France, haha.

That's good for him xD
What about the local metal scene in your country? I'm not too familiar with Latvia honestly.

Wow.. a Metal post. I'm impressed. :)

I've been listening to metal since I'm a child.
And living the attitude to life! Metal is more than music :)
My first festival was .. ''Death Feast''. It's little and so lovely.
But ok.. my favourite band is ''Eluveitie''.
I also love 80' metal, death metal, grindcore, thrash metal, glam Metal and J-Metal.

So many metals, trash and grindcore sounds pretty brutal.

Varg Vikernes is a pseudo-intellectual and a closet Nazi. If you want intelligent individuals in metal scene, I will give you Glenn Danzig and Dave Mustaine(even though I no longer like Dave Mustaine now that he is a born-again Christian right-wing conspiracy babbler)

Beside Iron Maiden and Judas Priest(as I noted above), I also like all genres in metal. I always thought that doom and black metal would've been the best genre if it was done right. But I never really seen any candidate who are able to manage that. During the 90's when grunge became popular, I disassociated from metal scene because I was too disappointed. But in late 90's, I discovered Cradle of Filth who single-handedly brought me back to the metal scenes. Since then I also got into Scandinavian black metal as well as overall European (symphonic) power metal bands. I'm basically Euro-metal fan. :)

@bizzarerg

Norwegians study English regularly, and Varg's English skill is basically common level for average Norwegians. We have some Norwegian members(who are also metal fans as well) here and you can clearly see how good their English is. And one more thing. Christianity is way more bigger in the States than in Europe. Percentage of those who believe in God's existence are below 50% in Europe,(in Scandinavia, they reach low as 20%) while in U.S., like 80% of people believe in God.(Americans are generally more religious, nationalistic and stupid than Europeans)

J-metal? You mean Japanese metal bands?

The first metal post isn't it? xD
I totally agree with you, metal is more than a genre of music. It's a way of life!
And it's my first time listening to Eluveitie, I actually liked the symphonic feel from them :P
You have an awesome music taste :)

My first concert had Municipal Waste, God Forbid, Suicidal Tendencies, Children of Bodom, and Lamb of God. I listened to mainly metal in high school, but if you were to ask me about it today, I'm absolutely clueless about the genre now -_-

I gotta say that Mustaine's work with Megadeth is overwhelming.
Cradle of Filth is indeed an awesome band. I saw them live and wow, their stage act is one of the best I've ever seen.
And I gotta agree that Americans are one of the most nationalistic people on earth (which isn't a bad thing) hahahaha
