so... NOBODY wants to talk about SOPA or PIPA?

ironically the wikipedia link i was going to post that outlines the premise of these acts is currently unavailable because they've blacked out in protest to these bills. here's another link that gives you a general idea

and even me doing that in the future, aka posting a link, a pic or a video would be considered a threat to businesses... free information is a threat according to these guys. and yes the lobbyists are those in the entertainment industry who think millions aren't enough.

is big brother watching you? or at least going to control what you can and cannot watch? make internet another television?

SOPA & PIPA goes against the whole premise of Freedom of Speech. The bill was introduced by congress representatives that were cozy with the film industry. I'll be watching to see what representatives turn out to be pro-SOPA, etc.

I doubt very many people even know what those two things are. But yeah, we're screwed. Probably.

Goodbye random stuff that google fetches for me, and goodbye free movie downloads.

which petition? i imagine there are hundreds of different ones, and i'll gladly sign em all. please link us, i'm just trying to spread awareness in any way that i can. i'm honestly worried for the future of free information. ilovecreampuffs, for sure it is completely against the whole premise of freedom of speech, but i suppose stacking benjamins is a bit higher up on the agenda.

Just remember that people have the power. Boycott, march on Washington... Get a movement going and force the government to listen.

actually there's one right on google... if you go to change.org there's plenty of them. If any of you have tumblr I know they had one going around today as soon as you log on.

You can see who voted "yes" and "no" with the accompanying donations by the movie industry or tech. Pretty interesting.
