There are 12 houses in the Western Astrology Birthchart. Each house symbolizes situation in a person's life and the zodiac sign or planets, stars, or comets can influence the person's life. Empty houses are situations that are not focused on. To find out about the person's birthchart, they need to type their birthdate, birth time and their place of birth.
1st House is the House of Self. This is where you place your ascendant/rising sign.This is how others view you.
2nd House is the House of Finance.

maybe everybody already knows this by now but yesterday i learned this about studying new info, a technique called space rehearsal:

Repeat the word (of a new language, for example) right away, wait a few seconds and think of it again, wait for a bit longer (maybe 30 seconds) and bring the word to mind once more, then rehearse the word again after a minute and once more after 2 or 3 minutes. Studies show that this type of rehearsal improves long-term learning more than rehearsing the word without any spacing between rehearsals.

it makes complete sense, but i was always too busy trying to constantly repeat new words like a broken record instead of recalling them in increments.

My colleagues told me I look very scary and unapproachable at times.

tsk, tsk, tsk try to stay objective in the beginning stages instead of getting too emotional, if that's what happened.


i learned this today but don't know if it's true: regarding symptoms associated with depression, depressed people in Western cultures tend to devalue themselves, whereas depressed people in Eastern cultures do not.

is that true? i can see how that could be true, but i guess it depends on the person, what they're depressed about, and so forth. this is very new to me.
