I've have seen first hand what too much drinking has done to friends and family. I've seen the the happy drunks and then the mad drunks. It was not fun to see. If I do drink it's red wine, but even that is extremely rare. Drinking, personal view point, isn't always the life of a party. At times it brings the worst of of people.

I do drink alcohol, but not often and usually not too much.
I don't like the hangover after, and when I drink too much I usually get depressive and this stays with me for a few days then.
Nothing I want to go through several times a year

Also in my family there are a few alcoholics including my mum, so I'm trying to be a bit careful.

I don't drink because I have two brats I have to take care of.
Also drinking alcohol is not something you can do while breastfeeding.
When I start, I can't stop, so I just don't start.

BTW, halimo is good peeps to talk to in chat if you ever have a chance. Insightful discussions all around.

Back on topic, drinking alcohol isn't something that I derive a great deal of joy from. Maybe to be social, but I could do without it just as easily. I'd prefer it.

If I drink, it'll be only a little bit. I had too much once, and the whole experience is no fun. The feeling of being drunk and the hangover after, it's no fun. No idea how people consider it fun.
