What is your reason for not drinking alcohol?

I drank kaoliang liquor with a small cup in dinner with all my family in Chinese new year's night. Everyone was talking and laughing and had a lot of fun. But I was dead drunk on the sofa...What a wonderful night

The reason is that I do not like it very bitter and strong, Brings me sad memories My classmate died of intoxication by alcohol. My liver is valuable, important and can not accept, tolerate or endure much alcohol..

It tastes horrible. If it tastes great I would be an alcoholic ...

Being drunk isn't worth it. There's a pounding headache, a terrible hangover the day after, puking everywhere, and don't get to remember all the crazy things I done last night. Then I'm haunted by all the crazy things I did from pictures and videos on social media that will never go away

I shouldn't be replying on this forum.... But I'll give an excuse on why I used to drink heavily. When I was in the Marine Corps, I worked indirectly with the Red Cross. So receiving messages from both sides; X Marines' mother has passed away or Y Marine has passed away. It kinda takes a toll on you. Especially being overseas, there's a time delay, being a day ahead of US. (Was stationed in Okinawa for 2 years). And there were times where I couldn't send Marines back home to see their loved ones. There were many a Fbombs being dropped on the daily. I stopped drinking/ drinking less when I got stationed back in California.

I really dislike the taste. I only tried it once and it's not worth it. It seemed to raise my blood pressure. I can't tolerate it.. but I'm not missing out on anything.
