If a confident/successful/good personality UGLY guy would ask a girl out, the girl will probably be flattered and may even go out with him.
But if a confident/successful/good personality UGLY girl would ask a man out...? Nah, I just cant see it. From what I have seen in this world, the man in question would only feel really flattered if the girl was also pretty.

I talked about UGLY, not average. I even wrote it in capital letters!

if proportions seem 'off' in some faces, I tend to feel weirded out...lol.
I'm not saying I go for doll-faced guys.....but that I do go at looks to a certain extent.
however, a good looking guy who tells me who I should be or what I should wear, or is really high-end about himself, can go find his business somewhere else. I also don't like competition
so if he's got lots of lady friends, forget it man.....I have no reason to waste my time on that.
I want an average-cute guy

Even that can be on a sliding scale. I don't consider a lot of people ugly, while you might have a different standard.

I think what you're partially getting at is the different priorities of men and women. Yes, men are more visual, and women are looking for the best/most favored attributes + best prospects. There's a different value system at play. Are we (guys) focused on earning potential/stability or social status? Or height for that matter? Probably a little but, but not nearly to the same degree. I'm inclined to believe that both sides are generally just as shallow. We just include different variables into the mix.

They can have beauty and a great personality, but connection is this inexplicable spark that brings a "good" relationship to excellence.
As great as it is to have everything, having that connection and frequency is so hard to find, i'll just hang on to it if i find it

Give us a break, really. I hate how society imposes us to be all pampered up, and while I understand how hair can be unwanted in some places - on arms, seriously? So men can walk around like hairy monkeys and everyone is cool with it (yes, Asians don't usually have much, I'm referring to males as a whole), but we have no self respect if we don't get rid of every bit of hair on our bodies?
Otherwise, I do agree with your point to some extent.
I agree...a LOT.
Like----I am self-conscience about my leg hair---more than I should have to---but my skin is sensitive, so I can't just attack it to death with razers and chemicals relentlessly..it hurts like heck after.
Like, honestly....I wish men would shave their armpits. I don't think its just a lady thing, it just looks so unhygienic if people don't.......it's like, the theory of wearing a cotton shirt vs a sports -easy -dry shirt. Wearing cotton absorbs all the odor and moisture and collects bacteria, like all that armpit hair...and it just grosses me out >_>''
and I sure hope he meant womans armpits----because, shaving your actual arms is so superficially fake----none of my friends do that.
This made me laugh and sad....laughing and crying eye. Why must we women shave and men not? Who the fu*k said that is unfeminine? Shaving does not count to hygiene!!! Nature had her point leaving this hair in this places. Go and educate yourself before you make this as and standard of hygiene rather than your own preference.
Second thing is....Asian guy may not tend to have a lot of hair, in both: women and men!
But a LOT of Asians do have a lot of hair mostly ON legs and not to forget armpits and pubic
