So what is it that attracts you to the opposite sex?

Teenage years are the most tough on the nonconformists, which explains why so many of them are driven to suicide or to join a subculture that gives them a sense of belonging. I'm thankful you've found yours. :)

The Wuhan and rural ID ones are a bit discriminating, just imagine us guys saying with a passion: "I wont date girls from >>insert your home city here<<". I am sure lots of you might get offended. Just remember the forum topics about which type of Asian is "better/preferable" or the American vs. European girls thread. Lots of bad blood.

But besides that, everyone has his or her checklist, either consciously or subconsciously. So whatever, as long as she has her own qualities to back them up, it`s called "dating in your league". And I have seen much more demanding checklists than hers.

Her requirements are not too picky, although whoever meets her requirements may/may not bring her the lasting happiness she seeks. However, focusing too much on superficial characteristics, it is easy to overlook the personality. At different ages people have different requirements. Only those who knows where to find true happiness will eventually attain it, while most people jut fail before reaching it. It is a pity that by the time people know what they really want in a relationship, they are already half way through thier lives.

True. It's similar to how people are trying for what they think they're worth. Unfortunately, problems arise when their own stock is overvalued.

Granted I'm only 19, but prior to marriage I would screen my partner for:

Intelligence
Morals
Education Level
Financial Status
Emotional Stability
Personal Philosophies

Two people need to be compatible with each other.

depending on the actual problem, and the level of instability, I think some of the other items sort of take care of the instability part:

if they have good philosophies and morals, they may be willing to work on themselves...and you'd obviously be dating for awhile before marriage, so if it doesn't seem like they will, you will know beforehand, because if they are serious about it, they'll not wait til marriage to get help---....plus, sometimes those with far different views from average see things you'd never see---

in the end, I think most people tend to be sort of unstable in a way...I mean, it's not like the average person doesn't have bad days.

Your own requirements seem very specific lol -

'a Lithuanian woman with the name of an ancient bee goddess, who grew up in Singapore, is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, 170cm+, thin, brunette, with a good sense of humour and a love of learning, who works in global public health and does tennis and TKD in her spare time.'
