Yes, but I think it isn't just a matter of agreeing on boundaries. I think if one party (either the man or the woman) is always wishing thr relationship was more than friends, it can put a strain on the friendship. It may not be evident, but it is still there. And ofc it depends on individual personalities--some men/woman take rejection better than others or find it easier to move on once they know feelings arent reciprocated.

And ofc there are men and woman who arent attracted to eachother romantically but may become friends due to personalities meshing well. In those cases I think both parties wouldnt even consider romantic relationship because it would be like dating a brother or sister.

yeah,why not.Not everyone is attracted to each other.If they are and only want to be friends,than there should be healthy and firm boundaries with each other.Otherwise I dont see why not.Just need to make your intentions clear from the beginning..Otherwise it could cause misunderstandings and kills the friendship..

Totally possible! It's even happened to me. I think there's nothing wrong with men and women being friends. As for BFF, I'm not so sure it's as easy, but I could totally see it as possible.

Yes, I have quite a few Female friends, some of which, I have known since School days.

I no longer think men and women can be friends: S.O. can't handle it; one person always seems to think there is a chance for more; others won't quit bothering the 2 of you about whether or not you are dating; who pays and what do you wear (a dress?) can be an issue....
I've tried it and love the company of men (women annoy me...except for other INTP types)....but I dislike the problems...
