TeddyJerr wrote: In case you haven't figured it out, this week is my week of exploring dating-related questions on my YouTube channel. In this video, we ask the ladies (and some lads) whether the friend zone actually exists (and whether it's that simple)
What do you guys think? Is the friend zone a myth? Can guys and girls be friends? Is it more complicated?
I'm surprised how so many(if not all the) participants of this video(including interviewer) were clueless about what "friend zone" is and what it means.(And this also include LOTS of members here who posted in this thread)
The question "Does friend zone exist?" is inaccurate based upon the context and content of this video. I think what the question meant was "Can a man and a woman become friends?" Because that's what the participants in this video has been talking about - friendship between a man and a woman in relation to potential element of possibility or desire to become "more than just friends" between two people of opposite sex.
"Friend zone" is different. When a person approaches other person with interests of romance with desire of mutual sexual attractions, but have landed in the area of potential friendship rather than potential lovers, that area is called "friend zone." This is why the term "friend zone" is often used as something undesirable because it is the result of one's own failure to pursue one's own romantic interest toward that particular person, not because "friendship" is undesirable.
Mixing up these two terms may lead to horrible misunderstanding. And such a misunderstanding was revealed in journalist Amanda Marcotte when she wrote on her twitter, "Of course, 'Friend Zone' implies that men have value as friends, but women never can. How is that not misogynist?" This misunderstanding is result of not distinguishing the term "friend zone" and "friendship" clearly. Obviously a man can have many female friends while still want to avoid "friend zone" when it comes to pursuing his romantic interests.

Love it how feminists like to belittle men and bitch about guys "bitching" about being in the friendzone to where some tard felt the need to make a tumblr account about "nice guys" who complain about not getting laid.
Love it how feminists are a bunch of hypocrites who think that libel and slander towards men are facts.
Love it how feminists screwed it up for everyone and thinks that a lot of guys can't be just friends with a girl.
