From my experience and from seeing others around me, "try harder" doesn't really work. That's not to say you don't take every opportunity you get to meet people and broaden your social circle, but the more you obsess about finding someone the harder it becomes, not to mention how long it will feel to you as well.

As for meeting the wrong people all the time, I can tell you it depends a whole lot on where/how you meet said people. I've met/been with girls who were pot-heads, sluts, models, Christians, nerds, nice girls, psychos, etc, you name it. And in retrospect, it was for the most part a result of meeting people in different settings and situations.

Well I stopped looking. This way I am not disappointed with the people who I cross paths with. See sometimes people have to high standards that blind them. If you take those away, you'll meet a lot of good and fantastic people. But I say give it time. We are young ad got better things to worry about like our careers, education, bills, etc. Love will find a way.

Did you know that there's such thing as "grass jelly"? Eaten with drinks & deserts a lot of times. It's good and squishy.
