What is your opinion on money and happiness? Do they go together? Can money buy you happiness? Why and why not.

In my opinion, money can buy almost everything. Having a lot of money is probably the closest one can get to absolute satisfaction.

Excess Money can get you happiness but Happiness DOES NOT need excess money

Money can give happiness. Happiness from getting new stuff bought.

Yes, you can buy almost everything, but not all.

Not really. What I want is something money can't buy.

it does not need it. as in it isn't a requirement. but it would be lying to say rich people generally aren't happier than normal people.

Not just from new stuff bought. It can be anything. From special privilege, to feeding your ego, to attracting women, to luxury.

The only thing that I can think of that money cannot buy is time, and probably immortality but that's going to change in the future as medical technology advances.

And what exactly do you want?

We tend to associate money with happiness since we live in a consumer society. I think it's up to every individual as the way we see life and the meaning of happiness differ. It's true that we don't see very much rich people ''sad'' but maybe it's because they can fill the hole when needed by buying stuff.
I must admit that I would't be as happy as I am with less money beacuse yes, I like to buy stuff that can be only bought with money.

well. when did we not live in a consumer society? also let me expand on what I mean with "money". it does not necessarily mean paper money, or technically government-issued bank notes that are assigned with a certain value. It means wealth in general. Any kind of wealth that can be exchanged for goods.

I think it can to a point. If I had all the money I ever wanted, that would definitely make me happy, but not as happy has having close friends and family.
