I take from me that money can't bring you all the happiness expected...
No one is 100% happy, and having money is no guarantee. Money nowadays represents only parties, a shallow and empty life. Maybe you can find a real friend in the middle of it but you'll get corrupted if you get caught by the easy life you live.
Money is a placebo, happiness come when you find yourself satisfied with your choices...

Money does not equal happiness. However, it does not mean you can't find happiness when you have a lot of money. Often, you will find rich people file for bankruptcy, or find them turn their lives upside down with drugs. The truth is, many people doesn't know how to handle money because it is such a big responsibility. As much good it can bring, it can also bring a lot of evil.

growing up poor has taught me that yes, having money does make for an easier, happier life. It's not shallow to want enough money to be able to eat food besides ramyun noodles or cereal. Money enables you to go out and have some fun and happiness such as going to a nice restaurant, to a movie, buying a shirt for yourself, little things people take for granted but others *such as myself growing up* couldn't afford. But to a certain extent, money can't make you into a better person, buy you friends, etc. So there may be some people out there trying to fix their lives with money but find that their life is just empty and meaningless. Basically we all have to find our own happiness and it varies person to person. Some need money to be happy, others don't. Whatever makes you happy, go for it.

In my opinion, money can buy almost everything. Having a lot of money is probably the closest one can get to absolute satisfaction.

Sure if you get a lot of money all your problems now, and other things indirectly related, may go away, but you'll find yourself with other problems once you are rich. That's where the term Mo' money Mo' Problems came from.

It may be nice to be rich and all but if you're not happy with yourself aside from money and other material gains, then the end of the road might hold a empty and lonely future for you.

Edit: With that being said, it's also pretty hard (especially in the U.S) to live comfortably, especially when raising a family, if you don't have money. So yeah it can help you not be miserable, but money itself won't bring you happiness
