People need some money to survive.

If working longer hours increases the earnings per hour, then it is worth it. If the earnings per hour decreases the longer you work and you sacrifice your personal and family time which has an intrinsic value in itself, then you should work less.

For instance, if you have a salary of $300,000 but work 80 hours a week, leaving no time for personal or family time, you make about $77.50 per hour. If personal and family time is worth at least $20 per hour and at least 4 hours a day is what you need to make you feel content, then you sacrifice about $29,000 in happiness, too.

If you have a salary of $200,000 but work 40 hours a week, leaving you with 8 hours of personal and family time at a value of $58,000, then your earnings per hour is $103 per hour plus $58,000 per year of pure happiness.

With that being said, money is something that can support your passions, depending on what your goals are in life. Having money is never a bad thing. Just don't believe that having more money is the direct equivalent to being a happier person.

I agree. I find many people try to aim their goals towards gaining a lot of wealth and once they don't get there they realize that they're miserable.
That's why just pursue your passions and do what you love the best you can and you'll find yourself being much happier along the way.

Yes but i'm underage right now. I would do that when I'm old enough  and relationships can really help you in life in terms of looking for jobs and opportunities >>> making more money. And yes. Money does make life easier to live. Do you also know that it opens up a lot more opportunities that people without a lot of money simply cannot get? That itself is an upper hand to a more decent life than other people.

Lol that is not an excuse. If you can logically argue about this topic with me, you are old enough to make preparations for your future. Sure social connections broaden your horizon for better opportunities, but if that is what you look for in the end than you are sadly missing out on one of the most valuable, intangible things in life. And sure money does give rise to opportunities, and even shapes people's lives/destiny, but what you define as a "decent life" shouldn't be so largely determined by materialistic things. Plus who needs "opportunities" paved by money when you will feel more accomplished by doing it yourself. That would be more satisfying than being born into money and having opportunities.

One interesting thing I learned in psychology though. Women tend to judge their happiness by their relationships while men judge it by their ability to provide (make money) for their loved ones.

Yes and I am already starting. By making more connections. And who said anything about materialistic things only? Money can bring you emotional satisfaction too. And I didn't say anything about inherited money. I just said money in general. If you made that amount of money, then use it to create opportunities for yourself, then I think it is legit to say that you "accomplished" by "yourself".
